Key Cog in City-ICA Dispute To Be Settled This Week?

The implementation of a financial management system–or the payroll system or Enterprise Resource Planning System as it was called in 2009–is expected to generate its first paychecks in two days.  That holds with projections made in July that it would be ready to roll by January and the Auditor General’s ICA audit from November called on the City to “continue its aggressive implementation plan of the comprehensive financial management system: in particular, the final implementation of the payroll system by January 1, 2016.”

Comments from the Chair of the ICA seem to indicate that the Authority will release the gaming host fee money to the City once it is assured the program is operating fully.  A smooth transition probably won’t help chill relations much; a glitch with paychecks, one can guess the outcome.
