A Holiday Season Note from the Institute

This has been a great year for the Allegheny Institute. Our work that comes to our readers through the weekly Policy Brief has made important contributions to the understanding and clarification of key policy issues facing our county, region and state. Education, transportation, gaming, taxation, assessments, government spending, pensions, employment, Pittsburgh’s financial status, and economic development have all been researched and written about. We hope the Briefs have been useful in helping you get a better understanding of the key elements in important policy debates.

In 2017 we will remain committed to working hard and diligently on these and other topics and be a consistent and forceful voice for conservative values and free market economics with a firm conviction of the need for smaller, less intrusive government.

During this special time of year we extend our warmest wishes for a joyous, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holidays to all. We also wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous 2017. We are thankful for each of you and hope the holidays will be safe, peaceful and enjoyable for you and your family.
