The Allegheny Institute is a non-partisan 501(c)(3) non-profit research, education and advocacy organization. Our mission is to support and defend the interests of taxpayers, citizens and businesses by promoting smaller, more accountable and less intrusive government.
- We will formulate and advocate public policies that roll back the size and scope of state and local government, create a business-friendly environment that encourages private sector growth through the advocacy and adoption of our policy recommendations by policymakers. We will promote and advocate for more efficient delivery of public services.
- Our efforts are guided by the principles of free enterprise, property rights, civil society and individual freedom that are the bedrock upon which this nation was founded and are the root source of sustainable long-term prosperity.
