ICA Funding Almost Resolved

ICA Funding Almost Resolved

Last week Pittsburgh City Council passed a resolution to provide $37,000 in funding to the oversight board for its operations.  The resolution is awaiting action from the Mayor.

A recent Brief explained that although the oversight board’s life span is supposed to extend to June of 2019 the General Assembly appropriated no money in the FY 2017-18 state budget for its operations.  With a strong possibility that the separate Act 47 recovery team for Pittsburgh will soon be dissolved, the oversight board passed a resolution asking for the General Assembly to amend the statute governing its existence to allow for concurrent dissolution with the Act 47 team and for the City to assist with funding its operations.  The latter is much more a reality than the former at this point.
